Adverse Operating Environment of Explosion-proof Electrical Equipment and Corresponding Measures

1. Explosion-proof electrical equipment is subjected to strong vibration or shock during operation:

Explosion-proof electrical equipment is subjected to strong vibration or shock during operation, which can affect the mechanical structure and strength of small electrical equipment, and can also cause loose electrical connections; frequent motor startup, reverse braking, overload and other operating conditions will affect the winding temperature of the motor and surface temperature, affecting the safety and service life of the equipment.

Countermeasures: If subjected to vibration, special attention should be paid to the tightness of equipment bolts and cable entry devices. When cleaning non-metallic electrical equipment, care must be taken to avoid static electricity. During the installation and use of explosion proof vfd electrical equipment, the adverse effects of external factors on the explosion-proof performance should be prevented, and measures should be taken to prevent foreign objects from vertically falling into the vertical installation motor vents. Use copper core insulated flexible wires or copper core multi-strand cables as much as possible. When wiring with metal pipes, flexible connecting pipes can be installed at the connection between explosion-proof electrical equipment and electrical lines as needed. Use spring washers and double nuts for vibration-sensitive bolt fasteners to prevent loosening.

2. Explosion-proof electrical equipment operates in a humid environment

Explosion-proof electrical equipment is operated or stored in a humid environment for a long time, which will affect the insulation of electrical equipment, making electrical equipment prone to decrease in insulation resistance, electrical breakdown or leakage, and destroy the explosion-proof safety of increased safety and non-sparking equipment, it will also adversely affect the operational safety of flameproof or other explosion-proof electrical equipment. In addition, the humid environment will cause the explosion-proof joint of the explosion-proof equipment to corrode, which will adversely affect the explosion-proof safety.

Countermeasures: For outdoor places, the explosion-proof electrical types of frequency converter should be placed under the rain-proof shed as much as possible, and the entrance of the electrical circuit should be sealed. Take measures to prevent accumulation of water near explosion-proof electrical equipment, and apply waterproofing agent to the threaded connections of the installed wiring pipes.

3. Explosion-proof electrical equipment operates in a corrosive environment

Corrosive environments have a great impact on explosion-proof electrical equipment. Severe corrosion will cause rust on the electrical equipment shell, fasteners and flameproof joint surfaces, destroy the flameproof safety of the flameproof shell, and also make other explosion-proof types of electrical control devices equipment rust. The degree of protection of the device housing is reduced.

Countermeasures: According to the corrosive gases, liquids, and steam existing in the environment, in addition to selecting anti-corrosion explosion-proof electrical equipment, anti-corrosion treatment is also required for the wiring pipeline.
