The 132202 panel at Shanxi Xiaobaodang Mining Co., Ltd.—China’s first 450-m ultra-long, fully-intelligent longwall working face—was successfully holed through. Equipped with CCS Electric’s 3×1600 kW integrated VFD motors, the face has run stably since November 2021, ensuring continuous production through the final slice in July 2022. This sets a global benchmark for intelligent, efficient, low‑carbon mining of medium-thick seams.
With no precedent for ultra-long face equipment, CCS provided 24-hour on-site engineering and real-time performance analysis. Together with the mine, a segmented speed-control shearer cycle was implemented, eliminating conveyor overload, startup failures, and overheating while maintaining safety and productivity. The panel achieved a record of monthly output of over 1 million tons, moving the mine closer, moving the mine closer to its strategic goal of one operator, one face, ten million tons per year.
